UKPCS 2025 Notification for the Combined State Civil/ Upper Subordinate PCS 2025

UKPSC Notification 2025 for UKPSC Combined State/Upper Subordinate Services (PCS) Service Exam – 2025 has been released, announcing 123 UK PCS Vacancies.

Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) has released the UKPSC PCS notification PDF with brief information for the UKPSC PCS 2025 Exam to recruit 189 vacancies through the Combined State/Higher Secondary Services Exam-2025.

These 123 Vacancies are divided into various sub-categories and classifications.

After the release of the notification, the UKPSC online registration process has also started. The application window will be available till 27^th May 2025.

UKPCS 2025 Exam Purpose:

The UKPCS 2025 exam is being conducted to select candidates for various Group A and Group B positions in the State Government of Uttarakhand. The selected candidates will join as Deputy Collectors, Deputy Inspectors of Police, Block Supervisors, District Transport Assistants, Assistant Commissioners (Commercial Tax), etc.

Note: – 1. The preliminary examination will be of an objective type, in which a Negative evaluation method will be adopted. For each wrong answer given by a candidate to a question or for more than one answer given by a candidate to the same question (even if one of the answers is correct), one-fourth (1/4) mark of the marks prescribed for that question will be deducted.

A merit list will be prepared with marks obtained in the first question paper (General Studies). The second question paper (General Aptitude Test) is a qualifying examination in which it is mandatory to obtain 33 % marks for all category/sub-category candidates.

What’s New in the UKPCS 2025 Pattern

Candidates for Group A and Group B officers in the State Government Administrative Services must clear the PCS examination, which is conducted by the UKPSC. The new UKPSC Exam Pattern is based on the lines of the UPSC Exam Pattern. The most recent UKPCS official notification states that the UKPCS Exam Pattern has been revised. The following are the significant changes in the exam pattern:

Eight papers will now be required for the UKPCS Mains.
Alternative subject selection is no longer available.
Two additional subject papers have been added for the compulsory exam. These papers will cover general knowledge of Uttarakhand.
All the papers will be compulsory to attempt.
The total marks of Mains and Interview that will sit for the Merit List will be 1500 + 150 = 1650.
It will be mandatory to obtain a minimum of 35% marks in the General Hindi Paper.

UKPSC- PCS 2025 Procedure and Preparation

The final paper includes subjects like General Hindi, Essay, General Studies (Paper-I to Paper-V), and optional subjects of two papers (chosen by the candidate). The candidate will have to choose an Optional subject from the list of subjects provided by UKPSC.

Stage III- UKPCS Interview 2025- The Personality Test: The UKPCS 2025 candidates who clear the main exam will be called for a Personal Interview. Interviews are conducted to assess the candidate’s personality, communication skills, leadership qualities, and general suitability for an administrative role. The UKPCS 2025 Interview is very important in the final selection process.

UKPCS 2025 Final Selection Procedure: The final recruitment of candidates for the UKPCS 2025 Vacancies and Posts will be based on aggregate results in the Mains Exam and the Interview. Marks obtained in the preliminary examination are not considered for final selection. UKPSC 2025 will prepare the final merit list for 2025 based on the performance of the candidates, and the candidates will be allotted the posts based on their rank and availability of vacancies.
