The eligible applicants for UKPSC Upper PCS posts are decided on through a 3-stage selection process. The three stages of the choice technique are the preliminary examination, the mains exam, and the Interview procedure.

What’s New in the UKPCS 2025 Pattern?

Candidates for Group A and Group B officers in State Government Administrative Services must clear the PCS examination, which is conducted by the UKPSC. The new UKPSC Exam Pattern is now based upon the lines of the UKPCS Exam Pattern. The most recent UKPCS official notification states that the UK PCS Exam Pattern has been revised. Following are the significant changes in the exam pattern:

Eight papers will now be required for UKCS Mains.
Alternative subject selection is no longer available.
Two additional subject papers have been added for the compulsory exam. These papers will cover general knowledge of Uttarakhand.
All the papers will be compulsory to attempt.
The total marks of Mains and Interview that will sit for the Merit List will be 1500 + 150 = 1650.
It is mandatory to obtain a minimum of 35% marks in the General Hindi Paper.

UKPSC Upper PCS 2025 Interview

The eligible candidates who have cleared both stages of the selection process are further selected for the personality test/interview. A panel Interview is conducted by the UKPSC board.

The total weightage of the interview is 150 marks. The candidates are expected to perform exceptionally well to get selected. Further, a list of selected candidates is released on the UKPSC official website.
